Alela Diane is a great new artist that sings folky, acoustic songs with beautifully eerie vocals. I think she looks like a retro version of Jessica Biel, though she seems older and perhaps wiser. Her songs have been growing on me, so I recommend giving her a few listens before you make any final judgement. Overall I think she's a really solid musician with a great unique aesthetic. As an added bonus she's touring with Blitzen Trapper! They're a great band that sounds like Bob Dylan plus The Flaming Lips. I highly recommend going to see these two acts, if I can get tickets to the Minneapolis show you can expect a review. Here are some dates for the Alela Diane and Blitzen Trapper tour!
